It was during a special trip to San Antonio, Texas, that my good ole friend Pepto-Bismol saved my butt (pun intended) once again! My son recently graduated from basic military training. I ate way too much in the few days we were there; my stomach was on the brink!

—Lisa

We were on a vacation to St. Pete's, Florida, on the Pier Mall. They have a store with the hottest hot sauce. We tried them all, dipping the chips in and having a ball. Until we tasted the hottest ever, on a toothpick! We were so glad we had Pepto!

—Kim

I love Tabasco and was sampling hot sauces at one of the small shops in a mall in New Orleans. I sampled a green sauce I thought was medium hot. It was not! It was called "Kryptonite" and I was on fire. I made sure to purchase a large bottle of Pepto before I left.

My fiancé (now my husband) and I were at a Mexican restaurant where they served an appetizer that was a flat tortilla with cheese. My husband thought it would be funny to hide jalapeños under the cheese. I took one bite and my mouth was on fire.

—Mary

We were at a restaurant and my husband failed to tell me that the drops of mild sauce were actually extreme sauce. I took a huge bite of food then realized I was on fire. I don't mean a little spicy; I mean flames coming out my mouth spicy!

—Allison

I had some spicy spaghetti. The sauce was tangy and I'm not used to spicy or hot foods, so naturally it didn't agree with me. I needed relief fast, so I reached for the Pepto. Ah, such sweet relief!

Anytime I travel to the Caribbean or south of the border I take Pepto-Bismol with me. For some reason after a few days of eating my stomach pleads for relief!

—Gayle

Last week I had a stomach bug and Cherry Pepto helped with the stinky burps and soothed my churning stomach. There's nothing grosser than re-tasting Cornish game hen from the night before.

—Kathleen

The strangest thing I have ever tried was cuy (guinea pig) when we traveled to Ecuador. It is a cultural food there and I'll try anything once. Tastes like chicken, right? No, it was slimy and salty and greasy. Not for me.

My family and I spent a week in Aruba. We overdid it at a Brazilian steak house. First the salad bar, which was monstrous, including meats, cheeses, veggies, etc. From there we all devoured seven to eight types of meat. After dinner we all recuperated with Pepto!

—Mike

I like Pepto-Bismol Cherry because it helps control my stomach problems. When I have diarrhea and feel nauseated, it helps me get back to my normal self after I take a swig of Pepto.

—Shirley

I was in the Pecos Wilderness, New Mexico, for six months. We had food staples but mostly had to eat off the land. One meal we ate was squirrels; the worst meal was a porcupine. It was kind of tough, gamey, and definitely not my favorite. I needed my Pepto!

My husband and I are both foodies, so for our honeymoon we decided to go to NYC. Our first day there my husband pushed the envelope a bit by eating Korean, Indian, Italian, and Chinese food. Thanks to Cherry Pepto we were able to enjoy our honeymoon.

—Shahla

Ten years ago I worked as a cook in a Latin restaurant. I was the only non-Latino, so the other cooks tried like hell to see how hot I could take. Thanks, Pepto!
